25 Years in the Void. Or 25 Years of Practice?
We spend roughly one-third of our lives asleep. For the average person, that is a 25-year loading screen—a black gap between two days.
I started LikelyDreaming because I refuse to accept that.
I believe sleep is the most underutilized asset we have. It isn’t just about rest; it is a biological simulation engine, a laboratory, and a playground. If we can hack it, we can use it.
What This Site Actually Is
The internet is full of dream dictionaries and mystical fluff. You won’t find that here.
My approach is simple: Facts on the table. I am interested in the neurobiology of why we dream, the mechanics of how to control it (Lucid Dreaming), and the tools—from supplements to sleep hygiene—that optimize the night.
- No Gurus: I don’t claim to be a master who has reached enlightenment.
- No Fluff: I value methods that are repeatable and grounded in reality.
- Real Logs: I share my actual Dream Journals—the good, the bad, and the weird.
Who Am I?
I’m a 20-year-old guy from Finland. Let’s call me Wilhelm Valley.
I am not a sleep doctor. I am a test subject. I use myself to test the techniques (WILD, MILD, WBTB), the gadgets, and the theories so you can see what actually works without wasting your time.
I am still learning to master the machine inside my head. This blog is my documentation of that process.
If you are curious about optimizing your sleep, experiencing the impossible through lucid dreaming, or just want to see what happens when you start paying attention to the night…
Welcome to the experiment.
